Studies in different oils
Methods of extraction
Botanical name for each essential oil
Geographical origin of each essential oil
Therapeutic uses
Description of safety procedures and considerations
Consequences of over dosage
Recognition of treatment overreactions
Oil blending
Effects of oils on all body systems
Storage of oils

Students will also study the following:

Professional ethics
First Aid / Salon Safety
Hygiene / Client Care
Business Studies

Case studies to be submitted at the end of the course. The examination taken at the end of this course is the I.T.E.C. Aromatherapy Diploma
